Meet The Team

Cristie Field:
Principal Speech Pathologist

I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with over 17 years experience working with individuals across the lifespan to assess and treat communication and swallowing difficulties. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, community health centres, schools and private practice. I have experience providing assessment and intervention to clients at either end of the age scale, from day old babies to those accessing palliative care, and all those in between. I have experience creating and running a variety of evidenced based group programs with children and adults, ranging from School Readiness Groups, Early Language groups, Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnosis and Management Groups, Social Groups, Parkinson’s Disease and Aphasia Group programs. I enjoy providing training, health promotion programs and advocacy and have provided dynamic and informative presentations to education staff, other health professionals, medical professionals, support staff and parent/carer groups.

I continually attend professional development courses, staying up to date with the latest evidence-based speech pathology interventions and believe there is no “One size fits all” approach to therapy. Therefore, all intervention provided is specifically targeted using the latest evidence available, fitting into your lifestyle and targeting your specific goals. I am passionate about working with families to provide motivating and engaging therapy to enhance communication and swallowing function in children, adolescents and adults, and have a special interest in engaging those that have previously struggled to find their “place” in therapy.
